The Old Quarter is the name commonly given to the historical civic urban core of Hanoi, located outside the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long. This quarter used to be the residential, manufacturing and commercial center, where each street was specialized in one specific type of manufacturing or commerce.

Much of Hanoi’s local way of life can still be found in the Hanoi’s Old Quarter – a maze of 36 tumultuous streets in the Hoan Kiem District. Much of the Old Quarter’s architecture are deeply influenced by the French and Sino-Vietnamese. Despite the many wars, the Old Quarter has withstood most damages and has retained much of its original traits. Located near the Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter is filled with life from day to night.

I swear that you will never ran out of things to do at Hanoi Old Quarter. The old town has had its reputation as the busiest and most developed travel hub for travelers to Hanoi where you can enjoy attractions, foods, tourist services, and entertainments.
