Are you at home on a Tuesday morning? Certainly do not miss the local market on Aimou Street (first paralel to Spyrou Patsi going towards Gazi). Tomatoes, vegies and all kinds of fruit to, well, like the greeks say, to lick your fingers.... LOL! But, seriously! Also, nuts, herbs, fish, eggs, peas, beans etc! And at great prices!!!

Athens' hot spot on Saturdays, Kallidromiou Farmers' Market is packed with stalls offering fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, flowers, and even clothes. Not the cheapest farmers' market in the city, but definitely the nicest one.

Farmer's market. Fresh produce (fruits, vegetables etc), every Saturday morning (8 am - 14 pm) in Kallidromiou str. Also available: meat, fish, organic produce, and flowers.
