This part of Portland seems to be particularly gentrified (Starbucks, West Elm, etc...), so it's nice to see a quality local business providing great coffee

If excellent coffee is your thing, go to the #1 "Small Coffee Shop" in the US as ranked by CNN Money in 2011. This is a local favorite and the beans are roasted just north of Portland.

Great coffee with Big Windows on Middle street allow for a caffeine fix and ample people watching.
