Weston Priory is a community of Benedictine monks, founded in 1953 by the late Abbot Leo Rudloff, of Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem. Inspired by a monastic tradition reaching back to the earliest centuries of the church, and shaped by the Rule of Saint Benedict, our life together centers on prayer, manual work, and hospitality. Above all, we hope to live the Gospel together. Seeking to be, in Brother Leo's words, "an embassy of the Reign of God," we hope that we will, in some measure, foster the healing and reconciliation of the whole human family.

If your visiting the Vermont Country Store in Weston, Vt (Appx 1 hour drive) you will go right by the Priory. Check their website to see if they are open. Honestly this is one of the most peaceful places. And if they are holding services outdoors or in the barn considered yourself blessed.

This may seem a little strange, but this tranquil spot has been the home of a group of Roman Catholic Benedictine monks for over 60 years. They have a wonderful gift shop, which includes art and maple syrup they make themselves, and anyone is welcome to join in the masses (often outside in a barn), and picnic near the pond. It's a lovely, peaceful, welcoming contemplative place.

We are so lucky to have this special place of peace and prayer available to us. A Benedictine Monastery open to the public at certain hours. Please check their website for hours and info. 10 minute drive just north of Weston Village.

A group of men committed to live community through friendship and prayer. They image compassion and integrity in their prayer and way of life. Their spirituality is a healing presence for our world.
