Sprauling green space just outside of Philly- nice trails alongside the Wissahickon Creek
Steps from Ridge Ave is Philadelphias’ most immersive public park, providing immediate access to nature! Dozens of Trails for any activity: nature hike, bike/skate, horse-back, MTB, run or walk into this urban wilderness.
My favorite place in our city. A 10 minute walk gives you access to scores of miles of trails. Walk, hike, run, bike, wander, horseback ride and forget your are even in a city.
Great for hiking, picnics, or just taking a break to sit and meditate. Bikers, runners, and dogs frequent the trail. It’s really a place for everyone. You may even run into a few equestrians on the path.
Wissahickon Valley Park contains 2,042 acres of parkland in Northwest Philadelphia, including the Wissahickon Creek from its confluence with the Schuylkill River to the northwestern boundary of the city with eastern Montgomery County.
