Riva del Garda Riva del Garda is door zijn ligging in de bergen erg populair bij meer actieve vakantiegangers, zoals wandelaars, wielrenners en mountainbikers. Het is er door de omliggende bergen doorgaans wat minder warm dan in andere plaatsen aan het meer. En dat kan erg prettig zijn, zeker in het hoogseizoen, als het op de straatjes, pleintjes en terrasjes van Riva del Garda gezellig druk is. Aan het water ligt een burcht, tegenwoordig het stadsmuseum. Ook fraai zijn de drie stadspoorten, de barokke kerk Chiessa dell’Inviolata en de Torre Apponale van 34 meter hoog. Tip: bezoek de markt op iedere tweede en vierde woensdag van de maand!

Riva del Garda is a resort in northern Italy, on Lake Garda’s northern shore. Strong winds make it a popular windsurfing destination. One of the most beautiful lakes I have been to! Italy’s largest lake! Rivals Lake Como! Breathtaking mountains with a tropical feel and swans! Buy a bus ticket at the bus station by the train station. 1.15 minutes away by bus.
