The Franklin Park Zoo is a 72 acres zoo located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is currently operated by Zoo New England, which also operates the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts.

Franklin Park, the jewel of Frederick Law Olmstead's Emerald Necklace, a connected series of parks and green spaces beginning at Boston Common and ending at Franklin Park. Enormous and varied with beautiful landscapes and many walking, jogging, cycling trails. Also included a municipal golf course and beautiful and historic zoo.

It's a nice zoo that is very fun to take in with kids. In the summer they have a little train that runs from one end to the other, an old fashioned carousel and a wonderful butterfly habitat.
