ala Cortina is het strand dat het dichtst bij het stadscentrum van Cartagena ligt. Het is een natuurlijk afgelegen baai en is slechts 250 meter lang. Er is een parkeerplaats op de top van de klif, maar het kan er in het weekend en tijdens het zomerseizoen erg druk zijn. Er is een visrestaurant dat helaas gesloten was tijdens ons bezoek, dus buiten het seizoen is het aan te raden om eten en drinken mee te nemen als je van plan bent om een dag te blijven. Het water is erg helder en ideaal om te snorkelen.

Cala Cortina is the nearest beach to Cartagena. It is a naturally secluded cove and is only 250 metres long. There is a car park at the top. It is a compact little bay sheltered by rugged cliffs, with a beachside seafood bar & calm waters for swimming. The view when you park and look down to the beach is beautiful. There is also a small shack you can buy from and toilets are at the end of the restaurant.

Lovley cove with west orientation. Perfect to stay until dawn. Ther is also a restaurant wich offers well done paella or caldero (specific murcian fish and rice dish).
