I love this place for simple rustic Italian. It ticks all the boxes - Italian speaking waiters, great food, cute ambiance, simple wine list, outdoor area is best to dine day or night - so relaxed.

Building on recipes passed down from his nonna, owner Gina Forlano has created a menu that pays homage to all the family classics. Don't expect to find any pizza here. Instead pasta is made fresh daily and cooked to a "nonna-soft texture" rather than al dente. The reginette ricce al ragu di anat, or duck ragu, is a customer favourite. Hot tip - my favourite is the gnocchi napoli. You won't find it on the menu anymore, but if you ask the wait staff they are more than happy to serve it up! Make sure you call ahead to reserve a table.

My favourite! An authentic Italian bistro, excellent food but you will need to book.

An excellent date spot, and perfectly cosy during winter. A glass of red wine and the pappardelle al ragu di anatra – slow-cooked duck, porcini and pecorino - will make your night!
