Another James Beard finalist, Chef John Cuevas, has made Boise his home and is sharing his unique, upscale take on Mexican style cuisine. Chips are homemade and hot and fresh. Guacamole is luscious and balanced. My favorites are the Mushroom taco and the ‘only on Wednesday’, OG Crispy. (Can you say Double Decker taco on steroids?) Don’t walk- run. (Pro tip- ask for extra crema and hot sauce. 😉)

Madre is an upscale, non-traditional taco restaurant. Their ingredients are fresh and the food is full of flavor. Service style is fast casual so reservations are only requested for parties of 8 or more. Hands down the best tacos in Boise!
