Konak Pier is a small shopping center in Izmir. It is the mall where luxury restaurants, cinema, and clothing stores meet. The project of the building is thought to have been drawn by the French architect and civil engineer Gustave Eiffel.

Konak Pier If you want to eat and shop by the sea, it is among my suggestions. There is a cinema inside. However, the prices are a bit expensive.

Konak Pier is built as customs warehouse of Izmir in the beginning of 19th century. It's architecture is guessed to belong to French architect Gustave Eiffel. this pier served as a customs point until the mid-20th century. Recently converted into a shopping mall, it offers Western fast-food outlets, cinemas, restaurants and shops including the upmarket Beymen department store and Remzi Kitabevi bookshop.
