Bucksport, Maine's first tap room opened in early April 2018. We serve up award winning craft brews from Bucksport's first and only brewery. Our Brother Donald, always had a passion for brewing beer. He decided to bring that love to our dear friends and customers.

Once a famous (for these parts) bakery in Bangor, the friars have turned their talents to a wholly different use of grain. Pair their fantastic brews with their culinary talents and a great view - don't miss it! (But get there early because I think they close at 8!)

Good food and beer brewed by Franciscan monks. They are also the servers! Scenic location overlooking the river. They ask that you refrain from cell phone use while there

This is my friend’s favorite place to eat. After enjoying a meal here, you can grab an ice cream at the local dairy bar and walk the newly constructed boardwalk along the Penobscot River. The view of Fort Knox is really spectacular!

Friar's is owned and operated by a community of friars in the quaint Rivertown of Bucksport. The dining room is small, but, but they have five star reviews, so they're doing something right. The friars brew their own beer, and hand-make their own bread and rolls that they serve their lobster rolls on. Call ahead before you go to ensure they're open.
