Short walk from the flat (turn right out of flat and at bottom of the street follow stream right to get there without too many roads). Great for families with young children, toilets and ice cream.

Fantastic wee beach next to St Andrews Harbour and the first place you come to when walking into St Andrews from Kinkell along the coastal path. Has a playground, sailing club, life guard and the very popular cheese toasty shack.

East Sands beach is much smaller than West Sands, but still lovely. At the North end, you have St Andrews harbour and the pier, at the other you have the leisure centre/swimming pool and a path that becomes the Fife Coastal Path and is a great walk along cliffs and hidden beaches. In between you have a lovely beach which is safe for swimming and surfing.
