This tiny sliver of a bar is a bitters cocktail destination open since 2011 from East Village restaurateur Ravi DeRossi and renowned bartenders Sother Teague and Max Green. The menu runs from less to more bitter, ending in the 8 Amaro Sazerac, a house mix of eight amari, green chartreuse, and orange citrate. Before the bar gets back on its feet, they’re selling curated selection of bourbons, ryes, and whiskeys for pickup.

Amor Y Amargo (love and bitters), the East Village bar that has been a staple on every cocktail aficionado’s favorites list for years, opened a second location in Williamsburg last week. The concept is the same: all drinks are made with bitters, amari, and a lot of love.

Great cocktails in a very small and intimate setting. The owner himself is often behind the bar showing off his creativity. The drinks here are not made with mixers or fillers or sugary bullshit. Every ingredient in them is alcohol. And they're fantastic!
