Witty's Lagoon is a Beautiful 144 Acre park with more than five km of trails through the woodland past Sitting Lady Falls to the lagoon and marsh. With views toward the Olympic Mountains.

This is an amazing sandy beach, when the tide is out it seems to go forever. There are two ways to get there from here, you can walk the trail past the falls and the lagoon, or you can drive to the stairs, but parking at the stairs is very limited.

One of the most popular beaches around, and for good reason! Witty's Beach is one of the few sandy beaches on the south island with great tides (you may want to check tide tables if you want the water close during your visit!). As the tide goes out, it creates sand bars and warm pools. Access is either from Witty Beach Road (some street-side parking, stairs down to beach) or head to the main parking lot and hike a 1.2km forest trail to the beach, stopping at the Nature House (open Sat/Sun 12-4pm) on your way in.
