Mooi historisch dorpje= oud moors 'wit dorp' met leuke straten, shops, restaurants en oude kasteel. Op wandelafstand.

Typisch Andalusisch wit dorpje, dit ‘postkaartdorp’ telt ongeveer 3000 inwoners en ligt op een kleine 10 minuten rijden met de auto. De huizen zijn er opgetrokken in de typische Andalusische stijl, wit geverfd om de zomerhitte te reflecteren en met kleine raampjes om de warmte zoveel mogelijk buiten te houden. De wirwar aan kleine straatjes, het indrukwekkende Moorse kasteel en de sympathieke lokale restaurantjes en tavernes zijn beslist de moeite waard.

White Towns - The White Towns of Andalusia are a series of towns and large villages in the north of the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga in southern Spain. The villages are characterised by whitewashed walls and brown tiled roofs. These towns are an easy day-trip type of visit, generally offering in some cases hiking, rock-climbing, cycling and in some cases (Casares) a castle or museum to visit, not to mention the stunning vistas, and local cuisines. Amongst my favourites, Casares (Castle, museum and nature walk with guaranteed spotting of vultures), Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra and Vejer de la Frontera, which really comes alive in the early evening!
