The small but formidable Arctic Museum is one of the best kept secrets around. A perfect rainy day activity is wandering through the museum, followed by a movie or gelato. Annie's favorite local museum since she was a kid :)

Interesting museum on Bowdoin campus about the arctic region of US/Canada. Historical exhibits, expedition artifacts, and exhibits on contemporary life way up north. Free. Sat 10a-5p, Sun 2p-5p.
