The Sheldonian Theatre, located in Oxford, England, was built from 1664 to 1669 after a design by Christopher Wren for the University of Oxford. The building is named after Gilbert Sheldon, chancellor of the University at the time and the project's main financial backer. Great place to listen to music

Beautiful theatre with a painted ceiling. Often holds classical music concerts. Look at dailyinfo.co.uk for what's on today.

• This remarkable theatre is where students at the University of Oxford get matriculated every year. It focuses on the study of the history of science, and the museum inside includes the blackboard that Albert Einstein used during his lectures at Oxford!
