Van Mala Strana is met het tandradbaantje (Lanova draha) vanuit de Ujezd straat omhoog naar de Petrin Heuvel. Het ritje is alleen al de moeite waard wegens het prachtige, weidse uitzicht over het centrum. Boven op de heuvel kun je spannend de zogenaamde Praagse Eiffeltoren beklimmen; 60 meter hoog en gebouwd in 1891 in het kader van een tentoonstelling. De toren is te voet via een trap te beklimmen. Bij mooi weer kun je van een panorama tot ver voorbij de stadsgrenzen genieten.

Peaceful Petřín centers on its namesake hillside park, where winding pathways and secluded gardens lead to the summit of Petřín hill and panoramic city views. A funicular climbs to the 19th-century Petřín Tower, which resembles France's Eiffel Tower.

Petřín Hill is one of the largest urban green areas and its slopes are an oasis of calm in the center of Prague. The Rose Garden, or rosarium, at the top of Petrin Hill, Nebozízek Garden and the Seminary Garden with more than 2,100 fruit trees are particularly magical. A favourite destination for families with children and couples in love. The easiest way to reach the top of the hill is with the funicular. Petrín Lookout Tower is popular for its incredible views of the city and the mirror maze is an endless source of giggles. Walking paths crisscross the park and are lined with benches with great views; there are even several playgrounds here.

Have a walk from Strahovsky klášter up to Petřín hill - it is one of my favorites walks - enjoy splendid views along.
