Tips van locals
Our lighthouse in Cabo Rojo is one of the few WORKING lighthouses left on the island. The hike to the lighthouse is breathtaking and a MUST THING TO DO when you visit. you can get a tour of the inside of the lighthouse for $3usd at the entrance (price and availability march 2020).
Breath taking view and a secluded beacj in the southernmost tip of the island.
I have travel many places… but there is nothing like this spot for a sunset. Get there and tale the long walk… Take the time to explore and enjoy your time.
Recently renovated. Take an afternoon hike and witness a beautiful piece of Cabo Rojo's history.
Located on an isolated point with cliffs surrounded by lagoons and marshes, Cabo Rojo's lighthouse, built in 1882, marks the southeast entrance from the Caribbean Sea through the Mona Passage into the Atlantic Ocean.

“Stunning views. You must get in early as it closes to car traffic when full. Be very careful of currents and rip tides. I do not recommend for children.”
