Houston’s Art District has the largest concentration of working artists located in one area in Texas. Check out the art studios at Sawyer Yards. Especially if you happen to be here on the 2nd Saturday of the month for Sawyer Yards Second Saturday art market.

The majority of the warehouses in our neighborhood have been converted into artist studios, making the first ward the Arts District. They are often open to the public, and you can see a wide variety of artistic expressions and media from a collaborative graffiti wall, to glass blowing, to oils on canvas, to statues, and more.

Infrequent exhibits in the Silo portion of the building. But if there is something going on, the space is incredible - a gallery in what was old rice silos.......
