Every year, at the beginning of May (first Saturday), is the Sturgeon Bay Shipyard Tour. If you like learning about the large ships and the tug boats, this is for you! Tickets will be available at both shipyard entry gates and the Door County Maritime Museum on the day of the event, and will be available for purchase prior to the event at both the Door County Maritime Museum and the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center. Ticket prices are $15 per adult and $6 for students ages 11-17. Guests ages ten and under are free.

Drive or walk by and see big ships, come in the spring when they have an open house Shipyard Tour. Go to Sunset park (adjacent), and watch them work, check out that crane....huge!

An active shipyard in downtown Sturgeon Bay, right across the street. You can watch how freighters and naval vessels are being built and repaired.
