Best Fish n Chips on the Gold Coast. You can reserve a table on the pavement and bring a bottle of wine. Excellent burger also.

Lots of Restaurants for dining and also takeaway stores. Fantastic Sourdough Pizza and a fantastic fresh Fish and Chip shop where you can dine at tables outside the shops and take a bottle of wine!! Lots of interesting specialty shops too for clothing, florist, chemist etc.

Walk around the outside of the island, down Stanhill Drive and you will see a few little parks on the river, some have pontoons, so you can grab some fish and chips and head down to watch whatever fireworks that might be on at night.
