An ancient - very lopsided pub next to St Mary's Church - only ten minutes away it is our nearest nice pub. Newly refurbished with food now being offered.

The Bell is a five minute drive away. I mention it because It serves good Sunday Lunch until 8pm on a Sunday and it allows dogs in the bar.

Another bar and restaurant within walking distance of Lavender Cottage, The Bell was fully refurbished in November 2021. It offers a good choice of food and drink in a casual and friendly atmosphere.
