The Smithsonian collection of museums is free, open everyday except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Each museum can take up to a full day. Everyone can find something of interest in these amazing museums. Wear comfortable footwear!

All the Smithsonian Museums are great. They are located throughout the District, Maryland, and Virginia areas; but the majority are located on "the Mall" in the District. Enjoy!

The portrait gallery has George Washington's famous protrait, all of the presidents and great modern art. The cafe inside is a great oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city.
