Peets is a Northern California coffee spot that you'll see all over. The Vine Street store is where it all began, and it opens at 5:30am if you need a brew early

There is a closer Peet's Coffee on Solano Avenue, but we recommend a visit to the original Peet's coffee shop established in 1966 by Alfred Peet in the Gourmet Ghetto. Alfred Peet was a mentor to the founders of Starbucks.
