This is one of the most beautiful sections around, just steps from the cabin! The trail system runs throughout MI and goes from NY to ND.

This trail is in the Manistee National forest and is great for hiking and cross country skiing. What a great way to enjoy nature while exercising.

The Manistee River Trail is a great place to explore nature The trail follows the east shore of the Manistee River for 8.8 miles through rolling hills. A waterfall near the northern end of the trail is very popular with many hikers. The site of the largest wooden suspension bridge in Lower Michigan is at the Manistee River Trail/North Country National Scenic Trail connector.

Hike the NCT to the Manistee River trail loop for a 20 mile hike. Hop on the trail for short hikes as well. You’ll find magnificent trails, stunning views, hidden campsites and maybe a waterfall or two.
