This horseshoe shaped falls is the second largest waterfall (by volume) in the United States and an historical landmark as it is a traditional fishing site fo many local tribes including the Warm Springs and Grand Ronde. While not a tall waterfall (~40 ft) it is quite wide (1500 ft) Other than the option below the best viewpoint is on Hwy 99E across from the Highland Still House pub. There is an exciting redevelopment of the area going on with a new public Riverwalk planned and new commercial and touristic development of the historic paper mill buildings that were recently sold to the Grand Ronde tribe www.willamttefallslegacy.org
