Warehouse district. Great for eating, bar hopping and shopping too. Definitely check out Heaths, a local fave biz for ceramic wares. They have a Tartine outpost too - one of the best bakeries in town.

Soma is one of the few flat neighborhoods in San Francisco. The name comes from the fact that we are "South of Market," which was an industrial district during the early 1900s. It is the most densely populated areas in the city and plays host to many fun seasonal events every year.
