The is a big, busy long beach in front of the caravan park. However, before you get to it (from the Cape Town's side), stop at the parking lot next to the road and walk down the steep footpath to get to three small beaches tucked way in the rocks.
Great place to spend the day over a braai or do a picnic. Great surfing and swimming, but pls keep an eye on the tides, not for the novice.

Two hours out, a town tucked in a box valley. It is here the French Huguenots settled when they fled to South Africa.
Know for its food and wines. Can get hot and busy. So book if you want to at famous restaurants or take your changes and see what you can get into.

Make a day out of it. Turn right at the end and come back via De Toits Kloof pass (over the top, not the tunnel). Turn left and come back via Tulbagh and Riebeek Kasteel.
