If you haven’t shopped at HEB then you haven’t experienced the best grocery store in the country. Amazing produce, bakery, great deals and prices! I can’t recommend their home made tortillas enough (both flour and corn are awesome!). Their in-house sushi is also great. If you're looking for a quick meal they also have a section of "Ready Meals" in the front that just requires popping it into the oven. Best of all, this is less than a mile from the house!

Magnolias is One of the most popular breakfast spots in town. Although I absolutely love the food, be prepared for a line at nearly all times of day. If you are down for a wait or are ok with a slow morning this is a must visit for breakfast.

There are some really beautiful flowers and plants to explore, and a very fun kids area where they can splash and get wet. (Don't miss the little houses near the splash area - the kids won't want to leave). Who doesn't enjoy a good old fashioned train ride? Hop on board for a 20 minute ride around Brackenridge Park. There's a Starbucks next door for any adults needing coffee. You can walk around Brackenridge Park afterwards and see the ducks, or visit the Kiddie Park right across the street.

This is a unique park that has a very cool Korean pavilion as well as a walking trail and pond. You'll enjoy a leisurely walk under the shade of big trees. There are ducks and geese making it a good spot for kids as well.
