If you just want a day to hang out in town, you could just lounge around at O.P. Schnabel Park. There’s a couple pavilions with picnic tables to sit in (or, if you’re looking to have an event there, you can rent one), and there’s also different trailheads for you to explore. The park is surrounded by Oak Trees and Mountain Laurels, so it’s a great place to de-stress.

It has everything from hiking trials, to views of Leon creek to spots fields.

Great walking and bike trials. There's spots for quiet walks or If you have kids great space to take them to burn energy as well.

A great mountain biking park! Lots of forest and the trails go way beyond what's marked on the map. Just stay in the river valley and they go on for miles. Plus you can pick up the paved river trails.
