Great seafood restaurants and little shops. Salt water taffy! The seals hang out by goat rock when they’re not in SF.
Clams are at Dillon beach.
The waters are cold and can be dangerous. This is Great White territory ... so be careful.
Salmon creek is a fantastic beach with soft sand and a lot of room to play and explore. It has a longer walk from the parking lot but worth it for any kind of sporting or group fun.
At Goat Rock you pull right up to the sand, go over a small sand dune and your there, where the Russian River empties into the Pacific Ocean. It’s beautiful.

Come visit in the off season! It doesn’t get very cold, some refreshing rain, and quiet beaches both on the river and at the ocean.
Guerneville is known for being extremely inclusive towards everyone! Whatever flag you fly, you’re welcome here!

Nights get cold, even in the summer, so bring something warm
Mosquitoes love it out here but they don’t like any kind of mint ... peppermint lotion is great! Keeps everything away.
