Only 40 min away, you can go see the famous Bodega Bay, where the Russian River flows out. It's beautiful and has some great oyster places as well.

Bodega bay is a beautiful stretch of Sonoma county’s 55-mile Pacific Coastline! Bodega has been a favorite destination to travelers & even the local residents!

Great seafood restaurants and little shops. Salt water taffy! The seals hang out by goat rock when they’re not in SF. Clams are at Dillon beach. The waters are cold and can be dangerous. This is Great White territory ... so be careful. Salmon creek is a fantastic beach with soft sand and a lot of room to play and explore. It has a longer walk from the parking lot but worth it for any kind of sporting or group fun. At Goat Rock you pull right up to the sand, go over a small sand dune and your there, where the Russian River empties into the Pacific Ocean. It’s beautiful.
