The metro is the quickest way to get around!
The metro can bring you all over Washington DC and the metro stops are beautiful to see, especially the Gallery Place metro stop. It is a huge dome and looks quite cool! Great photo opportunity.

Holocaust Memorial Museum
The museum is one of the only Smithsonian's that requires you to have a ticket, its in high demand and I recommend booking a ticket before coming to DC or early on in your trip.
