An 18-mile drive to the scenic and historic Georgetown waterfront. Explore, shop and eat by the water by day or dine, stroll the river and take in dance clubs by night.

Charming cobblestone streets, brick sidewalks and victorian style homes flank a bustling business district offering world class shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Easily one of the most historic neighborhoods in America, Georgetown often feels like a city of its own, within the nations…

The Georgetown neighborhood has cobblestone streets, great shops, and restaurants. You cannot miss Martin's Tavern where JFK proposed to Jacqueline Kennedy.

One of the most beautiful areas of the city offering a variety of international restaurants, shops and cafes. The waterfront makes it a great destination to go for an afternoon/evening walk, bicycle ride or stroll.

“I absolutely adore this marker and the fact that it is right next to the pier by the waterfront. The District Wharf is a must for both seafood lovers and those who enjoy strolling on a pier by a waterfront. The Wharf seafood market has an excellent selection of seafood (fish, shrimp, squid, octopus, crab, lobster, crawfish, clams, oysters, scallops, etc.) as well as cooked foods such as soups (gumbo, crab and lobster bisques, etc.) and ceviche (a Latin American seafood salad). During nice weather, I personally enjoy grabbing some seafood and then strolling on the pleasant pier by the Washington Channel. ”
