Reconstructed after the fire of 1846, it is one of few such mercantile buildings to survive the Great St. John’s Fire of 1892. Also, be sure to check out the UnderBelly! Nestled in the deep stone of the YellowBelly’s underground, resides as Newfoundland’s only Speakeasy.

Signal Hill was the site of St. John’s harbour defences from the 17th century to the Second World War and where Guglielmo Marconi received the world’s first transatlantic wireless signal in 1901.
