Tip-Based Asheville Walking Tour
Pay what you want in the end! We will start downtown in Pack Square to learn about the history, architecture, and some of the local legends surrounding Asheville! During our tour, we will be sure to cover all major landmarks like the Basilica of St Lawrence, and the Grove Park Arcade, but we will also go off the beaten path to explore the Block, the YMI, Woolworth Walk's old-timey soda fountain, and Wall St's catwalk! During the trip, I will be providing insider tips on the best places to eat, drink and play for the best prices, including the places where locals hang out for free! We will discuss hidden gems that many people walk by daily without ever noticing an eagle overhead, the faces engraved on the wall, or secret mice! We will dive deeper into Asheville's "buy local" culture and what that means for companies who get listed as "sell-outs." Also, we will discuss stories of sabotage, controversy, and little-known success stories of previous residents! We will also check out a cool museum called Leaf Global and taste local spirits from a distillery and ice cream from the Hop! At the end, my guest will get discount beer tickets to taste some local brews from one of Asheville's finest, local breweries called Twin Leaf. Other thing If you are unable to make your reservation, please let me know so I can plan accordingly!
Asheville barhop by SUP or Kayak
We will be exploring a couple of the best breweries of Asheville by SUP and kayak! 21&up. Get your friends together for a river caravan down the French Broad! This river is flat and wide, an easy beginner run, winding through the river arts district. Our guides will help you learn to kayak or SUP if you are new to it. It is a scenic and fun way to get to the breweries. Great for groups, solo travelers or couples, because you make friends with your crew throughout the afternoon. We have dry bags for personal items, dress to get wet and still be able to walk a block or two. Our takeouts are riverside banks, not docks, so ability to get out of your boat and walk up a trail is required. A sample or two can be provided at the breweries, but bring your wallet to purchase beer and food.

Experience the Pottery Wheel
We are excited to offer visitors an experience to get their hands in clay and work on a potters wheel. This hands-on pottery experience will introduce beginners to the magic of throwing clay on a potters wheel in a small intimate setting. Your teacher will patiently guide you along the way. NOTE: From start to finish the process for making a pot takes several days given the need to throw, dry, trim, bisque, glaze, and fire. It's because of the long process of completing a pot that WE ARE NOT ABLE TO OFFER PARTICIPANTS THE OPTION OF TAKING THEIR POTS HOME after just a couple hours in the studio. There will not be a finished pot to take home, pickup later or have shipped to you. You will have a great time experiencing what it’s like throwing clay on the potters wheel! Upon arrival we'll do a tour of the studio and explain the process of making a pot from beginning to end. You will see our wood kiln, and we'll explain how we fire. After the tour, we will roll up our sleeves and put on our aprons. You will be taught basic throwing skills through demonstrations on the potters wheel with step-by-step instructions. After a demonstration, guests will have the opportunity to try the potters wheel on their own and will be guided with techniques along the way. Aprons are supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing you won’t mind getting clay on and have long hair tied back.
Asheville Mountain Top Sunrise & Coffee
Experience the sunrise from up in the mountains! This is Asheville’s only sunrise tour and you will get a front-row seat to one of the greatest experiences in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We will drive you up the famous Blue Ridge Parkway to our favorite sunrise spot (located at 5,000 ft. above sea level!) After a short, 10 minute hike, we will arrive at our spot and your guide will brew some fresh local coffee. We will enjoy delicious local coffee as we watch the sun come up over the mountains! Your guide will also provide alternative drinks if you aren’t a coffee drinker. We will bring a variety of teas and hot chocolate. We will take care of the details like cups, creamers, sugar, and mini Kind and Cliff Bars for you to enjoy! Private Tour: Have a large group? Want a longer hike? Want to customize the trip? Book a private tour! IMPORTANT: Mountain weather is extremely unpredictable. Fog and clouds can come through in minutes. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, but we will try our best to get you to see the sunrise. If there is rain in the forecast for your tour, your guide will reach out before the trip to discuss alternative options such as moving to a different date. If the weather becomes dangerous and we must cancel the trip, you will receive a full refund.

Sound Healing Relaxation in the Sound Nest
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or desiring to relax, be supported, & experience meditative sounds? Arrive at the Sound Nest in Alexander, in the rolling hills just outside Asheville, leaving the outside world behind beginning with a cup of soothing tea. Slip off your shoes entering a comforting & nurturing room filled with special instruments to soothe your cares & nervous system. Dawn walks participants through what to expect in a tranquil & reassuring way. The bespoke sound healing journey can be tailored to support your life experience. Grounding gongs, timeless & soaring singing bowls, refreshing chimes, a relaxing ocean drum, amongst other instruments help us to re-imagine life & bring fresh air to the intensity that life naturally brings. Private group or individual sessions are happily arranged in addition to the times shown here, please contact Dawn. Chocolate making class in the heart of Asheville
When in doubt, cover it in chocolate! Come put this philosophy into delicious practice at our beginners chocolatier class. We'll practice several methods of dipping, talk a little about tempering chocolate, pipe decorations and whatever else strikes your fancy, and send you home with a box of truffles you made yourself and about a pound of home-made goodies! (...or whatever is left after you sample your treats during class. Don't be shy about it, quality control is an important part of a chocolatier's job.)
Fall Hike in the BlueRidge Mountains - small groups
Are you looking for an exciting experience, off the beaten path and away from the crowds? This is what's right for you. This magical hike with epic views is an experience that will last in your memories forever. We will hike in the enchanted landscape of Western North Carolina & get some incredible Instagram worthy pictures of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The hike will be between 3-5 miles depending on weather & the group. The Blue Ridge Mountains are some of the oldest in the world! We will stop at the top, have a snack/ beverage of your choice, take some really wonderful photos and then back down the mountain. [If you book as a "single" and the group ends up as "ONE/just you" we will do the shorter hike - if you are only one there may be a chance of cancellation] Weather can have a impact based on trail availability and access so please understand at this time of year things [weather] can change quickly. The parkway can be closed in winter so lots of our access to views can be limited. If the date you are looking for is not on the calendar, send me a message. I will help you find a solution. You will need your own vehicle. Other things to note I will do everything to create a hike that fits the needs and skill level of everyone in your party so please just let me know how I can answer your questions and concerns. We keep groups small, therefore no refunds within 24 hours.
