A former ghost town that offers a General Store, antique shops, souvenirs, boutiques, a local winery and the Gristmill and Gruene Hall. Gruene Hall is the biggest draw, as it is the oldest honky-tonk in Texas, one of the places where George Strait and many other country music legends got their start and still visit today. Gruene Market Days occurs every 3rd weekend of the month and offers a ton of locally crafted items and food.
