Built by the king of Württemberg for his wife Katharina as a monument of love. Katharina was daughter of the Russian tsar. Funny enough many kings of our very small Württemberg - compared to big Russia - married members of the Romanov family. This is a positive link to Russian history which Putin is going to destroy!

The sepulchral chapel on Württemberg hill (Grabkapelle auf dem Württemberg ) was erected by King Wilhelm I in memory of his beloved wife Katharina, who died at a young age. Offering spectacular views over Stuttgart, this monument to eternal love is considered Baden-Württemberg’s most romantic spot.
