A great family dinner (and a little less tourist-y) can be found at Bennett’s Pit BBQ just 1.4 miles away at 714 River Rd.

Just off the main strip in downtown Gatlinburg with outdoor seating. This restaurant is further down the strip which means it has a little less activity right outside than some other places.
