During spring and summer the Christchurch Botanic Gardens are a must see filled with a fabulous array of flora and fauna unique to the area.

The Botanic Gardens are a must visit. There are gracious old trees set alongside the Avon river, a renowned Rose garden and a native plant area dedicated to plants from New Zealand . The gardens are located near the city centre and provide a refuge for city workers and joggers .
