Here is a safe space to get up close and personal with some of natures little darlings! It's a great place to learn some tidbits that will impress friends and family when they ask about your trip to Newport. Their 2019 exhibit features Steam Punk and you won't want to miss that!
The Oregon Coast Aquarium is a world class aquarium with a focus on the flora and fauna native to the Oregon Coast. Be sure to walk thru the acrylic tube in the "Passages of the Deep" exhibit. The playful sea otters are my favorite exhibit.

“A nice selection of wine and beer. For food and supplies, Ray's is convenient but expensive. If you are stocking up for a week, it's definitely worth it to go up to Fred Myers or Safeway in Newport. ”

“A quick 2 block stroll down to Nana's that offers delicious fare. We love the Baked Brie, Meat Loaf, and the Steak and Guinness Pie.”

“Wow, built in 1936 and still working 24/7 this place and it's surrounding nature will bring the ocean life right in your face. Tours to the top are an awesome treat and the guides tell wonderful stories of the history...Did you know it originally burned pork oil as the light source? Hmmm, Bacon!! We know why they built a town around it!”

“While it's nice to have local markets in Waldport and Yachats, the prices are quite high for essentials. So if you are staying for a few days and need to stock up, it's worth it to go to Freddies, Safeway, Grocery Outlet and Walmart in Newport.”
