Nether Westcote is close to the picturesque, medieval town of Burford, which has a high street festooned with antiques shops and charming tea rooms selling fresh, plump lardy cakes. There is a full vegetarian menu, and a children’s one featuring meatballs and brownies. It's a country pub with bar stools made of horse saddles, yet the menu is more suited to The Ledbury in Notting Hill. A cosy retreat in the winter but summertime it comes into it's own with breathtaking views from the stunning terrace across miles and miles of uniterupted Cotswolds countryside. Booking for the terrace is highly recommended!

At The Feathered Nest, the food is good and matched by a great selection of ripples. It also has one of the most spectacular views you can enjoy when dining outdoors.

This place is a hidden gem - James Martin said food here was the best food he'd tasted all year and that was compared to Michelin * restaurants! The view from the garden is also breath taking.
