The most southern point of the Cape Town area and home of a big nature reserve. Further south, there is only the South Pole :). Go here for a magnificent view of the ocean, possible viewing of dolphins and wales in the sea and loads of wildlife (zebras, ostriches etc) in the park. A must see if you are in the area, the nature reserve has many nice places to spend time, e.g. beaches and nature view points. The entrance to the Cape Point Natural Reserve is about 8km away. Tickets can be bought at the entrance.

Scenic drive to get there. Tourism & nature park with rock pools to explore. A whole day outing. You can either take a funicular or walk up to the Lighthouse above the Point: spectacular views of the tip of the peninsula. Restaurant - sit down, take away and sit outside. You will probably see Baboons. Never feed them! Buffels Bay beach is a gorgeous swimming spot with tidal pool - water can be warm, weather dependent.

This location is literally the bottom of the world-- look out for baboons- costs a bit to visit, which makes it a safer hike
