Great Park within the City. Newly remodeled Recreation Center with work out facilities, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking paths in a wooded area. People catch fish in the small stocked lake.

Kidd Springs Recreation Center is located in Oak Cliff and was originally owned by Colonel James W. Kidd. Kidd Springs has a large spring fed lake where many Dallas residents learned to swim. The recreation center was built in 1965 and was recently renovated. The park is complete with a lake, pool, softball field and butterfly garden. The recreation center has a state of the art fitness center overlooking the lake, large and small meeting rooms and a gymnasium. The center offers programs for all ages beginning with preschool Mommy and me classes all the way to Senior activities.

Good for kids 3+ - there's actually a bigger playground in the same park closer to Cedar Hill Ave, just head east until you get to El Si Hay, it's just north of that.
