Hershberger's Farm and Bakery

Tips van locals
Along with a great bakery, this place has an adorable petting farm in the summer time. Our children love coming here and the price is very reasonable. Another highlight is ordering lunch at the outdoor food stand and eating at the picnic tables.
Hershberger’s Truck Patch has fresh produce, baked goods (their fry pies- yum!), dry seasonings, and meats/cheeses. To make it better, they have a petting barn where you can see goats, rabbits, horses, etc..
The local produce and baked goods are amazing (you’ll never be satisfied with typical cream sticks again!) — and the farm animal attractions are fun for both the young and the young at heart. Just look for the goats on the roof! 😊
This is a great place to bring children. Children love to pet and feed the farm animals. Also children can ride horses and enjoy a hay ride. There are goats on the roof, that wait by a conveyor belt for a cup of food to come their way.

“My favorite place to buy groceries, especially deli meat and cheese. The Walnut Creek location has the Mudd Valley Creamery & Cafe upstairs. We love the Mudd Valley ice cream and the chipotle style "stack" served here. Walnut Creek also has the "Butterchurn" store which has a huge line of kitchen items and decor. The Berlin location is much smaller and does not have the restaurant. I usually shop here for groceries because it's closer for me and not as crowded. It depends what you're looking for:) ”

“This farm is a full day destination with Amish farm buildings to tour, playground and picnic areas, farm animals and zoo animals. Book your horse drawn wagon ride early in the day so the animals you'll be feeding will be active. (open April-October)”

“This is our favorite local restaurant. We especially love the breakfast. They open for breakfast at 5:30 in the morning! Hint: go early during the summer and on weekends! We also love the cream pies served here. This is a small restaurant so I wouldn't advise going in with a large group. ”

“When coming to this area, you just have to learn about the Amish. The Yoder's Amish Home is a great introduction. Truly the first place you should go to start learning of the culture. ”

“I love this place for groceries and fresh meat and cheese. They also have a small cafe here and they serve Troyer's homemade ice cream.”
