Nice area in the center of town to take a walk. During the summer months the summer festival "Montpellier les estivales" is worth visiting for local food, wine, music and crafts - 6pm onwards. Go early if you have kids.

Impossible to miss in this city, as it adjoins Place de la Comedie with Corum and includes Musée Fabre and the Pavillon Populaire along the way. A lovely walk between the trees. Good sandwich bars.

Verdure et fontaine à côté de la Place de la Comédie. Tous les vendredis soirs de l'été sont organisés les Estivales jusqu'à 23h30, entrée gratuite. Producteurs de la région, possibilités de s'y restaurer. Boutiques... Vins de la région... 2 dégustations + 1 verre gravé = 5€.
