The vibe: Colorful and sometimes loud — in décor and patrons, both inside and out at picnic tables on the gravel patio — the gastropub with the best beer selection in town is ramping up with craft cocktails, too. There’s stick-to-your-ribs food as well, perfect for soaking up the liquids, plus water bowls for doggies. What to order: Named one of the top five burgers in the state by Texas Monthly in 2016 (when TBL was on Magnolia Avenue), the LUST burger remains irresistible, thanks to roasted poblano and feta inside, melted Gouda on top, with avocado, pickles and caramelized onion for good measure. The Texas poutine bears some spice, corn relish and queso fresco, while the fried leeks are a justified addiction. Oh, and whatever soup is on — get it.
