Balneario El Escambron is a little beach, just to the east of Old San Juan. It is a family-friendly beach, with a small crescent of clean sand and usually calm waters, thanks to the coral reef a short distance from the beach.

Great beach close to Old San Juan. Great for swimming, snorkeling and surfing!

Surfs up! Rent your board or bike just around the corner of this public beach. It's not too rough by the shore. Definitely a good place to snorkel. 6 minute bus ride.
